Violinist Jiwon Han

Jiwon Han from Seoul, Korea, began her musical career with an impressive debut at age 11 with the Ukrainian Symphony Orchestra and followed by a collaboration with the Seoul Royal Symphony Orchestra. She then studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart in Germany, where she won the 16th Don Vincenzo Vitti International Competition and theGrand Prize Virtuoso Competition both in Italy, leading to solo performances at Rome’s Teatro Studio Parco della Musica and Stuttgart Liederhalle.

Between September 2022 and May 2023, she was a sub-violinist for the New World Symphony Orchestra in Miami and participated as a violinist with the Aspen Conducting Orchestra in 2022. Previously, she was an Associate Concertmaster with the Peabody Concert Orchestra and a sub-violinist with the Korean National Symphony Orchestra.

Jiwon graduated from the prestigious Seoul Arts High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree with a perfect score from the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. Furthermore, as a recipient of the Artistic Excellence Scholarship at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, she completed her Master of Music under Professor Judith Ingolfsson.
