Popera Soprano, MAGO, 조미경

Soprano MAGO MiKyoung Jo has graduated from the Department of Vocal Music at Ewha Womans University and in addition earned her masters degree at Ewha Womans University. She was conferred doctoral degree of Church Music at Shepherd University, USA, and served as a Professor at Myungshin University.

During her decorate career, she has won the 1st prize in the National Music Competition in Korea, performed in operas Marriage of Figaro, Rigoletto, Pagliacci, La Boheme, The Barber of Seville, and many more. She held 6 solo recitals in Korea and abroad, and starred in hundreds of concerts such as KBS Open Concerts.

She is best known as a popera singer “MAGO” who sings the history of Korea with single albums “Arirang Fantasia” and “Wind from the East.” She has recently released a song entitled “Healing Love” that gives comfort and hope to those who are struggling after the pandemic.
